7Days & Me

7Days is not a journal name. 7Days is a small travel agency. But, 7Days company can be stood along 15 years as a travel agency in Myanmar. There are only ten staffs in our company. I have start been working with 7Days since Dec 6, 2006 until now. I got so many valuable experiences in such as professional field, communication technique, business knowledge, modern technologies and so on. Therefore, firstly I would like to say “Big Thanks” to 7Days’ owner, co-workers and other related persons. Then we are unity because we know and accept “Unity is Strength”, so we understand and respect and love each other. How difference we are compare to other company. I possessed a happy time in 7Days.

However, you know, during this period, because of September Strike and Nargis Cyclone, most of the travel agencies where established in Myanmar was badly effected. Consequences, we cannot invite, offer to any visitors and tourists who want to visit to Myanmar where is beautiful and pleasant land in the South East Asia. The travel industry is declined and the travel business trend is downward. We cannot estimate when the recovery period is because political situation is not stable year by year in our country. (Political situation is directly related to economy of this country)We feel disappointed and nervous, on the other hand, we are trying and persuading to come and visit in Myanmar by using motivational marketing way, cheap price and best services, promotion and discount. Although we are doing things like that, our country image is damaged; it is a main or major problem for Tour Company. So, we try to open a new business channel and as for a employee, try to search a new job in other industries. In this way, most of the travel agency is dissolve and reduce the staffs and so on because of their financial problems. Nevertheless, our boss didn’t do this manners and actions. He said to me that it  shouldn’t be. In addition , our organization structure is compact and not large.

In the working environment, good relationship is vital important for between owner and staffs. In 7Days, we have good relationship between boss and staffs like a family. It is a nice and rare company for an employee. In spite of I am getting on, flexible, and familiar with 7Days, in my point of view, personally, being I am a young man who wants to be a successful businessman, need to try my best and use my skill, abilities, effort and energy effectively and efficiently for my life. It is really and vital important for me. And my future depend on me and in my hand. Then I have a burning desire to improve and upgrade my life. Therefore, I have to promote my condition and position, earn much money, get experiences, and learn for my further study such as ACCA, MBA and IT courses by using my skill, abilities and energy in my prime age as much as I can. My current income is not enough to implement for my purpose, goal, target, aim, and destination of my life. But, I am not a person who only focuses on money. I don’t agree with Money make everything. I accept Money make something.

At the moment, I can make a contract to do a job in AMI (Aid Medicale’ International). It is an INGO. So, I tell to my boss my current condition and attitude and desire and plan. He understands to me and agree with my plan. Therefore, I am going to leave from 7Days within one week to INGO. During this period when I am working for AMI, I also work for 7Days in Sat and Sunday if I am free. If the job contract could not extend, I will come to 7Days again to handle and help my section because cashier have to give birth her baby in Dec-2008. I guess that I will be here for nearly 6 months. After that I will search a new job in NGO or private organization which can be paid good salary and have nice internal control system and work systematically and good business situation, if I could not visit to Singapore to find a job. If AMI extend the contract with me, it is better for me, I will accept this proposal because I can save my salary for my visiting to Singapore to find a job or to establish my own shop or business. For example, I can contribute my money in trading company, which is a new business channel of 7Days family, as a shareholder. At this time, I need to handover my duties for my position in 7Days.

I have a plan to work as a staff in some organizations until to set up my own business. I must get my goal I strongly believe that. One day, I must be a person who I want to be. God bless me!
